These issues change with technological advances and most recently include topics such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Net Neutrality, Broadband, Telecommunications Service Priority and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
Residential Trends Research ESA commissioned two research studies focusing on integration in residential markets. The first study looks at ESA member companies' involvement and interest in residential integrated systems offers. Alarm Communications Alarm Communications focuses mainly on the communications paths between alarm systems and central monitoring stations. These paths can include broadband Internet, VoIP, POTS, cellular radio and mesh radio. Each of these technologies bring with them inherent benefits and limitations. The Industry Affairs Committee works with several government agencies and industry advocacy groups to make sure ESA members are informed on the latest issues and advancements in these areas. More
