Thanks to ESA Volunteers for a Successful Year

Posted By Dave Simon, Tuesday, January 03, 2012

As the new year begins, the Electronic Security Association (ESA) would like to thank all our members for your help and involvement in 2011. We’re here to serve you, but your willingness to volunteer your time and contribute to various specific causes is what moves us from the "good” column to "great.”

No nonprofit association can make it without those types of contributions. People make things happen, and everyone from our Executive Board to committee leaders and their team members have helped us raise our profile in the past year, taking on new causes and becoming a larger player on the national level when it comes to security issues. This is no small accomplishment!

Kudos go to those individuals and companies who step forward on specific issues, and stay engaged on ESA’s ongoing mission. We need folks helping on the small details and the larger picture.

We will continue expanding how ESA serves you in 2012, and growing our visibility so that you can grow yours. Being part of ESA is not just about dues: It’s also about knowing what is going on, and stepping forward as part of the industry to ensure that our causes get a fair and open airing, whether its state or federal legislation, or an issue like local jurisdictions getting into the monitoring business.

We hope to see you at the Leadership Summit, which takes place next week (Jan. 9 - 12) in Irving, Texas. We look forward to serving you in new ways in 2012; let’s work together for a prosperous new year.
