Positioning all your employees

Posted By Dave Simon, Monday, February 13, 2012

rowingMarket leadership isn’t just about the owner or the president of a company. And it takes more than the leadership of a company to reach the company’s goals.

Reaching goals is everyone’s business. As you decide on and push for the goals of your company, everyone needs to be on board to help achieve the end result. This means your billing clerk, sales reps, receptionist, technicians and accountant all have to understand where you’re going, and embrace the vision.

Like every other field, the security industry is competitive. Success doesn’t come from one person making it so. It comes from all of your employees putting their oars in the water and pulling together so the boat moves more fluidly and quickly down the river, regardless of whether there is turbulence or you’re rowing against the current.

Each position at every company has a role to play. Every one of your employees has a counterpart at another company – which means that in order to meet your end goal, you need to keep all of your people focused on the key drivers that make you successful.

Provide feedback. Reinforce your vision. Build a team that works together.
