ESA has announced plans to develop a new
chartered chapter, the Electronic Security Association of Florida. It’s been a long time coming; we’re excited
about this opportunity for companies in the state of Florida, and we’re excited
about the growth of ESA.
ESA of Florida will focus its initiatives not only on
intrusion and fire alarms but also on product categories such as video
surveillance, access control and home and building systems integration.
ESA believes in the value our chapters
bring to our members and the industry. By adding a new chartered chapter, everyone
benefits. Here’s how:
Greater numbers mean greater
strength. We lobby on national
legislation, comment on regulations and stimulate national demand for our
products and services. Adding Florida,
the fourth most populous state in the country, makes us that much stronger in
New members also mean new ideas and new
blood. Every industry needs to bring in
fresh voices. Without this type of growth, it’s easy to fall back on ways of
doing business that may no longer be relevant in our technologically changing
industry. Additional members mean more
voices will contribute to the dialogue on how the electronic security industry
should evolve. We believe this
strengthens ESA, and helps our chartered states and member companies.
A component of ESA’s mission is to help create an environment of growth for its
member companies. As part of its
mission, Florida plans to focus on business development and lead generation for
its members. We believe that’s a worthy
goal, and one from which we can all learn.
We’ll share information as the process develops. We’re confident that ESA of Florida will make
us stronger. We’re also confident that the converse is true. That’s a relationship worth building.
