Generate Sales by Targeting High-Crime Areas

Posted By ESA Communications, Monday, July 16, 2012

Predictive policing, a new law enforcement technique, is helping police stop crimes before they start. The premise is simple: Police take data from a number of sources to determine where crimes are likely to occur, and then patrol those areas whenever possible. Not only will this new method help police prevent crimes, but it will also help alarm companies target areas that are in need of home security.

Naturally, where higher crime is expected, we should increase our efforts to educate potential customers about the benefits of alarm systems, and how they protect homes and businesses. ESA suggests you work with local law enforcement officials to find out if there are problem areas in your community. If there are high-crime areas near you, use them as sales leads for pitching to potential customers.

By reaching out to consumers in high-crime areas, not only are you helping protect your community, but you’re also building a bridge with your police department. The electronic security industry prides itself on being part of the solution, and this is another way we can reinforce our partnership with public safety officials.

Get involved with predictive policing by following what’s going on in your city. Help the police protect your community by installing systems in high-crime areas.
