Mobile Apps Take Security Solutions to the Next Level

There’s no question that mobility of information services is affecting almost every industry. Consumers are using "touch and go” technology in new ways daily. With the ever-growing penetration of smartphones, the desire of customers to get everything while "on the go” grows.  

We all know people who email us at some odd hour of the day. You wonder what they are doing up so early or why they are staying up so late. The implication of these personal trends for the electronic security industry is that our customers will increasingly desire the use of their security applications at odd hours. They’ll want to be "on the go” with the ability to arm or disarm their system, along with accessing other features.

 Mobile apps give consumers this flexibility. They’ll also give you opportunities to propose new solutions to protect their homes or businesses. More and more customers are demanding these types of services.

Beyond customer demand, interactive services are an important selling tool. ESA members are finding new sales through mobile apps. It’s a way to grow your business, and connect with customers in new ways.

A final point: Lowering attrition rates is at the top of everyone’s agenda. You want to find new customers, and keep the ones you have. Providing services your customers want means they’ll be less likely to look other places for their security needs. Mobile apps fit the bill. Check them out. They should keep your attrition rate down.
