ESA has scheduled legislative events this fall in two states
that have seen a flurry of government relations activity this year.
ESA of Florida will host a legislative dinner featuring state
Sen. Anitere Flores, who will discuss the business and regulatory climate in
Florida. The dinner will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at
The Tower Club, located on the 28th Floor at One Financial Plaza, 100
S.E. Third Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
The event is free for members and non-members who register
by Sept. 15, and is sponsored by Interlogix, Honeywell, Telguard and Tri-Ed. There also will be updates about ESA
of Florida activities, as well as the upcoming 2014 ESA Leadership Summit in
Sen. Flores is a Republican who represents Florida’s 38th
District, which includes 500,000 residents in Kendall, Westchester,
Fontainebleau and portions of southwest Miami-Dade County. She is chair of the Chair
of the Senate Communications, Energy, and Public Utilities Committee;
vice-chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services; and
also sits on several other committees, including Regulated Industries.

Virginia’s Annual Conference, Oct. 22-24 at the Wyndham Virginia Beach
Oceanfront resort. The lunch will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct.
24, and is sponsored by Interlogix, Honeywell, Telguard and Tri-Ed. More information about that event will
