ESA of Virginia State Legislative Luncheon features John Knox, John Chwat

Posted By Administration, Monday, October 07, 2013

ESA President John Knox will be the keynote speaker, and Director of Government Relations John Chwat will also be featured at a special State Legislative Luncheon this month during ESA of Virginia’s Expo at the Beach.

The luncheon will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront, 5700 Atlantic Ave. in Virginia Beach. The luncheon is sponsored by Interlogix, Honeywell, Telguard and Tri-Ed Distribution, and will be followed by an expo featuring a number of the industry’s top technology and service companies.

An informal social event will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, followed by a golf outing and welcome reception on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Thursday’s schedule is packed with activities in addition to the luncheon and expo, including training and educational sessions. The conference offers either four hours of Compliance Agent In-Service, or two CE credit tracks. Each CE class is two hours long, and all training is DCJS-approved, so participants can get the education credits they need to renew their licenses. The Compliance Agent training will be facilitate by Jeff Scott of DCJS, who has traditionally been a popular presenter among attendees.

More information is available by contacting Brooke Doty, ESA-VA conference coordinator, at 800-538-2322; via e-mail at; or by clicking here to visit ESA’s website.
