ESA-IN Is Successful in 10-Digit Dialing Deadline Extension for Local Alarm Companies

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has extended the deadline for central Indiana inhabitants to begin using 10 digits when dialing phone numbers. This deadline extension came in response to the Electronic Security Association of Indiana’s request to allow alarm companies ample time to make the necessary adjustments. Beginning Oct. 15, any resident with a 317 area code will dial the full 10 digits in preparation for a new area code to debut in November. Read more.
