Tri-Ed / Northern Video Distribution teamed up with GE Interlogix and The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life to show support and honor for cancer survivors.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fundraising event that gives communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember those lost, and fight back against the disease.
Irene Tellez, Branch Manager at Tri-Ed / Northern Video's Sacramento, CA location, participated in the June 10th and 11th Relay for Life in Citrus Heights, CA. "It raised over $30,000 in funds and the money is still rolling in,” Tellez reports. "This will go a long way to help cancer patients and their families. It truly is a great community event to be a part of.”
The Sacramento branch, together with GE Interlogix, also hosted a purple pancake breakfast on June 8th that honored cancer survivors. "Many customers had stories to share of their experience with cancer, either their own or that of a loved one,” Tellez says. "It was an inspirational kick-off to the Relay event.”
