SD&I launches "Fast50" best practices and ranking program

Posted By Bob Ogle, Tuesday, December 06, 2011

Security Dealer and IntegratorSecurity dealers and integrators are a tight-knit group who are not afraid to offer advice and input on ways to build their market and sell cutting-edge products, solutions and services. Innovations are out there and best practices can be found if you know who to ask.

Security Dealer & Integrator (SD&I) magazine, a leading industry publication with 32 years of service, wants to make sure all its readers have unique strategies and best practices at their fingertips. In order to facilitate the process, the magazine has launched the SD&I Fast50: America’s Fastest Growing Systems Integrators.

"The program is designed to cultivate best practices from integrators and end user input on what they expect from the systems integration community,” says Deborah O’Mara, editor-in-chief of SD&I. "This unique ranking will showcase the ‘Best of the Best’ strategies for success for the entire industry. The SD&I Best Practices Educational Awards for Fast50 will be presented in Las Vegas in 2012 by SD&I magazine and is endorsed by ISC West and the Security Industry Association.

The program is for small and large alarm dealers and systems integrators alike. Companies submit gross revenues for a three-year period but those numbers are not published and instead used in a formula that equally balances revenue percentage growth and overall revenue growth, creating a level playing field for all entrants. Systems integrators and alarm companies can fill out the form online at:

SD&I’s Fast50 advisory board members include: Anthony Ball, senior vice president, HID Global; Michael Barnes, founding partner, Barnes Associates; Ray Coulombe, managing director, SecuritySpecifiers, com; Frank DeFina, senior vice president of sales & marketing, Samsung Techwin; Albert Janjigian, principle, Expedeum Inc.; Fredrik Nilsson, general manager, Axis Communications; Eric Pritchard, partner, Kleinbard Bell & Brecker LLP; and Ron Worman, founder and managing director, The Sage Group.

Entering the Fast50 is simple and easy. The deadline for entries is Jan. 23, 2012. For more information on the formulas or the program, please contact Deborah O’Mara, editor in chief, at
