Recently, two members of ESA, Convergint Technologies and Security America Risk Retention Group (RRG) President
Michael Keegan, were honored for their important contributions to those in need
by Mission 500, a charitable organization engaging security professionals to
sponsor needy children through the World Vision organization.
Convergint Technologies is being honored with the 2013
Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility award for its charitable efforts in
2012. In 2002, Convergint declared June 18 as the Convergint Social
Responsibility Day, a day in which Convergint employees give back to their
communities. Since then, Convergint has contributed to more than 120 different organizations.
Michael Keegan, Security America RRG president, is the
recipient of the 2013 Mission 500 Humanitarian award. The award honors
individuals in the security industry who make charitable contributions. Keegan has
been in the security industry for more than 27 years and is a long-time ESA member.
Among Keegan’s philanthropic endeavors is his participation in the Teton Youth and
Family Services (TYFS), a program that helps guide young adults. Each year,
Keegan spearheads a golf tournament that unites the community and raises more
than $35,000 for the TYFS program.
