Leadership Summit: Are people capable of change?

A basic question pertinent to people and change is: "Are people capable of change, and if so, to what degree?” You must, as an effective coach, help people to understand their role, standards of performance and their performance gaps. Coaching enables you to help them take ownership and accountability in closing that gap.

  • Do they understand their role?
  • Do they understand their gaps?
  • Do they take responsibility to close those gaps?

Performance reviews should not be an annual or semi-annual event. Rather, they are a critical and ongoing process to fill the gaps between current and desired results. Do you have a "people plan” designed to improve your human capital?
