ESA gives back by gathering Christmas donations for the homeless

Posted By Bob Ogle, Monday, December 12, 2011

In the spirit of the holidays, ESA staff members recently collected items for Operation Care International, an organization dedicated to assisting the homeless since 1993. Bringing together blankets, shoes, socks, toiletries, monetary donations and a wide assortment of items, in the space of a week the staff created a huge "care package” for the Dallas-based group.

The materials donated by ESA staffers will be part of Operation Care International’s eighth annual Christmas Gift 2011, described as the "nation’s largest Christmas party for the homeless,” at the Dallas Convention Center on Saturday, Dec. 17. Food, clothing, and services are distributed to homeless men, women and children in a festive, comfortable and safe environment.

More than 11,000 homeless guests attended the event in 2010, along with 3,200 volunteers representing 532 organizations.
