Moon Security’s Media Exposure Goes Through the ‘Woof’ as a SECURE+ Integrator

Posted By ESA Communications, Tuesday, February 05, 2013

retrieverHow far does 50 bucks go these days? All the way to Las Vegas and Seattle, if not farther.

ESA Past President Mike Miller, president of Moon Security, found out after becoming one of the first member companies to sign up as a SECURE+ integrator. Through SECURE+, his company’s expertise in smart-home and lifestyle enhancement technology is recognized and promoted by ESA as part of the association’s newest member benefit.

For a $50 annual fee, Moon Security can post the SECURE+ logo and brand on its marketing collateral and website, showing consumers the company can be trusted for all of their integrated security needs. Another tangible benefit is a healthy public relations push from ESA.

It helps to have a great story to tell. Moon Security recently installed an advanced electronic security system with remotely accessible cameras for a homeowner who wanted to be able to constantly monitor her three Golden Retrievers whenever she couldn’t be home. She now can keep an eye on her "Kanine Kids” from virtually anywhere via smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Moon Security passed the word to ESA, and ESA passed the word to the media via the distribution outlet PR Web. Within a few days, the press release had been picked up by a number of media websites nationwide, including Yahoo! News, the Las Vegas Review Journal, the Seattle P.I.,,, and TV station sites including KHQ-TV in Spokane, Wash and WALB-TV in Albany, Ga.

We know Mike’s company isn’t the only one with a great story to tell. Already, we’re hearing from other companies who are becoming SECURE+ integrators, all with a wide variety of success stories involving the latest smart home technologies. Success is one of the most powerful public relations tools.
