AIREF Burglar Study Presented at IACP

Posted By Administration, Monday, October 28, 2013

The Alarm Industry Research & Educational Foundation (AIREF)-funded burglary study entitled "Understanding Decisions to Burglarize from the Offender’s Perspective,” was presented last week to an audience of 100 in a session held at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

Co-author Kristie Blevins, Ph.D., presented information about the study, along with co-author Seungmug Zech Lee, Ph.D., who talked about some interviews from his previous study, and the chiefs filled in the remainder of the time talking about how the study's results correspond with their practical experience. After the presentation, the presenter fielded questions from the audience.
