Chapter Management: Apprenticeship: Training the Future Workforce (9:30 am – 10:30 am)
ESA's federally-recognized National Apprenticeship Program for Protective Signal Installers (Security and Fire Alarm Systems Installers) addresses the industry's need to remain competitive by investing in the development and enhancement of the skills of the electronic security industry.

Chapter Management: Day to Day Operations of a Successful Chapter (10:45 am – 12:00 pm)
This session will provide chapter management best practices, legal structuring of a chapter and day to day operational procedures. Perspective will be offered from an ESA Executive Director on the day to day operations of a chapter.

Chapter Management: Dissemination of Information (1:45 pm – 3:00 pm)
This session will discuss various mediums to disseminate information and tips for using each. Tactics of press releases, e-blasts, newsletters and direct mail will be discussed as well as targeting specific audiences with a call to action that is appropriate for that audience. Additionally, building distribution lists and tracking responses will be covered.

Chapter Management: Legislation and Licensing (3:15 pm – 4:30 pm)
Forget what they told you in school about the legislative process - learn how it really works! This session will touch on local and state legislation. You will learn what you need to know about being successful when proposing a bill. Methods of contacting legislators and/or local politicians will be uncovered. Members will be called to action to contact their legislators and/or local politicians!
