The Wisconsin Electronic Security Association (WIESA) has renamed the WIESA Annual Golf Outing to honor individuals in the security industry. This year the newly-named event, the Ron Adler
Memorial Golf Outing, will be held on Sept. 20 at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisc.
Beginning this year, the annual golf outing will serve as a way to acknowledge an individual in the electronic security industry for his or her contributions to his or her company and/or the industry at large. The individual will be acknowledged for how he or she impacted others within the profession well after he or she has passed on.
The individual selected will meet the following pre-defined criteria that will typically point to individuals that are not company owners or well-known industry figures.
- Individual must have at least 12 years in the electronic security industry.
- Bulk of career must have been spent in Wisconsin.
- Individual must have excelled in his or her particular position.
- Individual must have had significant impact on peers and others in the industry.
Future individuals will be selected by the past presidents of WIESA from written submissions made by persons, including past presidents, in the electronic security industry working in Wisconsin.
The individuals will be recognized at the outing and will have the year's outing named after him or her.
