Kyle Kowalski, of Sterling Security in Waterbury, Conn. was named the 2013 Professional Alarm Technician of the Year by the Connecticut Alarm &
Systems Integrators Association (CASIA). Kowalski was honored by his peers
at the CASIA Annual Membership Expo held Feb. 28 at Marisa’s Ristorante in Trumbull Conn. He was
presented with a plaque inscribed, "In recognition of your exceptional
technical skills, superior work ethic and professional leadership qualities.”
Kowalski began his career with Sterling Security
in 2008 as low-voltage apprentice and obtained his State L-6 license soon
after. He is a graduate of Porter Chester Institute. Kowalski is versed in residential fire
and burglar alarms, as well as commercial fire, video, access control, CCTV and
intrusion systems. His credentials
include ESA's National Training School (NTS) Level 1 and has completed Bosch G
Series with remote programming software.
"Kyle constantly strives to increase his level of knowledge in new
technologies. This combined with
dedication, humor and superb customer service skills make him a valuable asset
to our company,” stated Joseph Gurga, president of Sterling Security.
Kowalski is the son of retired police officers; his mother
from Waterbury and his father from Watertown police departments. He and his wife, Jennifer, will be celebrating
their first wedding anniversary in July.
The couple resides in Oakville, Conn.
