Ribbon-Cutting Opens Show Floor at ESX in Nashville
More than 200 exhibitors provide a glimpse
of the future for security owners and executives
Irving, Texas (June 19 2013) — Each year, the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) is proof positive that it’s possible to offer a show floor that is large enough to spotlight an incredibly wide range of security products and services, yet manageable enough to tour at a leisurely pace and drill deeply into any category.
Electronic Security Association (ESA) President John Knox officially cut the ribbon to open the ESX show floor at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn., at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19. The floor was open until 6:30 p.m. on its first day, and will continue on Thursday, June 20, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Jointly owned and sponsored by ESA and the Central Station Alarm Association, ESX is the only major national show focused exclusively on the needs of electronic security integration and monitoring companies. It’s more than just a trade show, though, since education and networking are a major part of the weeklong event.
Nearly 200 exhibitors are giving attendees a glimpse of what’s new – and what’s coming up. All of the key categories are represented, including video, access, intrusion, fire and central station technologies, as well as insights on emerging product opportunities in categories like automation, information technology, and audio-visual.
The roster of exhibitors for ESX 2013 is the largest in the event’s history. That’s no surprise, given that ESX has been recognized by Trade Show Executive magazine as one of the 50 fastest growing trade shows in the country.
"We’re honored when people return every year to ESX because it shows how valuable the event has become to our industry,” Knox said. "The fact that we keep growing is a reflection of that value.”
