Point and Select Security Recognized for Digital Innovations
Awards presented at Professional Groups Reception during ESX
Irving, Texas (July 10, 2013) — During the recent Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Nashville, Tenn., the Electronic Security Association (ESA) Sales & Marketing Professionals (SMP) group recognized dealers and integrators using the latest in digital products and services through creative and innovative sales efforts and presentations.
Point and Select Security each received a Digital Sales Innovation Award, which were given at the ESA Professional Groups Kickoff Reception on June 17 at Whiskey Bent Saloon. Gerrit Brusse of Point and Pat Egan of Select Security attended the reception and accepted the awards.
Submissions for the awards were provided to the judges anonymously with no reference to company name or size and ranged from internally developed apps that allowed for electronic contract approval to utilizing Cisco WebEx to conduct live presentations internationally to enterprise level customers. Video submissions of the finalists are available in the SMP Resource Library.
Point won in the small-to-medium category for its IOS application used for recruiting, hiring and training of sales and technical staff. The app is also a vital communication tool used in front of their prospects, allowing for sleek presentations and videos, continually updated information to all users and the additional reinforcement that Point is a technology company.
In the medium-to-large category, Select Security won for their proprietary sales tool which enforces superior customer service after the sale. Featuring an auto-populating portal that walks the client through payment options, contract terms and more, their process continues through various follow-up steps with measurable efficiency and effectiveness.
SMP Chair Lisa Matthews said, "We were really excited about the entries received for the Digital Sales Innovation Awards. While each entry was unique and innovative, two stood out. I was impressed with how Point’s app is used company-wide in a variety of applications and Select Security’s proprietary sales tool reinforces the philosophy that selling continues even after the initial sale. I strongly encourage everyone to read through each of the entries. I’d love to get your feedback and hear what your company is doing.”
