2014 ESA Leadership Summit Explores the Race for Relevance
Announces author Mary Byers as keynote speaker

Irving, Texas (Oct. 8, 2013) — The ESA Leadership Summit, scheduled for January 19 – 23, 2014, has announced Mary Byers and her session Race for Relevance: 5 Radical Changes for Associations, as one of five keynote speakers scheduled to present at the event. The Summit will take place at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla. and focuses on sharing business intelligence for growing companies.

Increased competition, shrinking revenue, technology, higher member expectations and changing markets are all significant and permanent changes to an association structure that has not changed for more than 100 years. Organizations must embrace new and shifting landscapes and change right along with them. But how?

Co-author of The Race for Relevance, Mary Byers, CAE, will present a thought-provoking program, including the answer to the ‘but how?’ question, during Monday’s general session luncheon sponsored by Security America Risk Retention Group on Monday, January 20, 2014. This general session will also feature the highly anticipated annual ESA Leadership Awards and time dedicated for attendees to spend with sponsors during the vendor showcase.

During her presentation, Byers will present changes that will energize and reposition associations and businesses for better performance and include case studies to bring theory to life. Attendees will benefit from hearing an experienced association consultant and facilitator with 22 years of experience who specializes in best practices. She will give attendees plans for implementation and next steps they can apply to their associations.

The 2014 ESA Leadership Summit is formatted to appeal to security industry professionals who want their businesses to thrive, not just survive. Accordingly, the Summit will feature a robust speaker and seminar line-up to give attendees actionable and applicable takeaways that they can immediately implement. The event is sponsored by Interlogix, Honeywell, Axis Communications, Telguard, Tri-Ed Distribution, ADI, Altronix, Security America Risk Retention Group, 2GIG Technologies, GEM Electronics, Linear, Micro Key Solutions and OPTEX.
