ESX Show Floor Opens with Ceremonial Ribbon-Cutting
More than 200 exhibitors provide a glimpse of the future for security owners and executives

Irving, Texas (June 26, 2014) — The highly anticipated show floor at the 2014 Electronic Security Expo (ESX) opened to attendees at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday, June 25 at 1 p.m.

Electronic Security Association (ESA) President John Knox and Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) President Jay Hauhn officially cut the ceremonial ribbon and invited hundreds of security professionals into the expo. The floor stayed open until 6:30 p.m. on its first day and will reopen on Thursday, June 26 at 9 a.m. and run until 12:30 p.m.

Attendees leisurely toured the booths and made connections throughout the afternoon on the large, yet manageable show floor that hosted more than 200 exhibitors. Nearly every category was represented on the show floor including video, access, intrusion, fire and central station technologies, as well as emerging product opportunities such as automation, information technology and audio/visual.

Jointly owned and sponsored by ESA and the CSAA, ESX is the only major national show focused exclusively on the needs of electronic security integration and monitoring companies. The show’s smaller setting allows attendees to establish valuable connections, which can be difficult to accomplish at larger industry events. As a result, ESX often becomes an annual must-attend event for many security professionals.

“We’re honored when people return to attend ESX year after year,” said Knox. “It shows the value of the event and the important role it plays in our industry.”

Established in 1948, the Electronic Security Association (ESA) is the largest trade association representing the electronic life safety and security industry. Member companies install, integrate and monitor intrusion and fire detection, video surveillance and electronic access control systems for commercial, residential, industrial and governmental clients. In cooperation with an alliance of chapter associations, ESA provides technical and management training, government advocacy and delivers information, advice, tools, and services that members use to grow their businesses and prosper. ESA may be reached at (888) 447-1689 or on the Web at
