ESA Leadership Summit Announces Gene Marks as General Session Speaker
Session will focus on upcoming growth opportunities brought on by emerging trends

Irving, Texas (September 28, 2015) — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is pleased to announce that business writer and columnist Gene Marks will headline the Wednesday afternoon general session at the ESA Leadership Summit slated for Jan. 31 – Feb. 3 in Chandler, Ariz.

Marks writes daily for the Washington Post and weekly for Forbes, The Huffington Post, Inc Magazine, Fox Business, and Philadelphia magazine. Marks’ columns are read by hundreds of thousands of business owners and managers. Marks has also written six books on business management specifically geared toward small and medium- sized companies. His most recent book is The Manufacturer’s Book of Lists.

Nationally, Gene frequently appears on FOX News, MSNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg, and CNBC discussing matters affecting the business community. Through his keynotes and breakout sessions, Gene helps business owners, executives and managers understand the political, economic and technological trends that will affect their companies so they can make profitable decisions.

Marks owns and operates the Marks Group PC, a highly successful ten-person firm that provides technology and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses.

Prior to starting his consulting business Marks, a Certified Public Accountant, spent nine years in the entrepreneurial services arm of the international consulting firm KPMG in Philadelphia where he was a Senior Manager.

Marks’ presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the beginning of the Wednesday General Session, sponsored by Honeywell.

During his presentation, Marks will talk about how changes in politics, economics and technology will affect businesses going forward into 2016 and beyond. Marks’ advice will help company leaders capitalize on these trends and how to find and motivate the best people. Topics slated for discussion include a look at the Affordable Care Act, the upcoming presidential elections, new technologies and much more.

Leadership Summit 2016 promises to be even bigger and better, bringing together 300+ security industry professionals to Link Learn and Lead their businesses to new heights.

The event will take place at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino which boasts well-appointed meeting spaces, 100,000 square feet of Vegas- style gaming and a variety of restaurants and lounges, amenities and outstanding service.
