ESA Leadership Summit Announces Robert Harris as Keynote and Seminar Speaker
Harris a brings lifetime of association expertise to the 2016 event

Irving, Texas (November 3, 2015) — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is pleased to announce that association expert Robert Harris, CAE, will speak at the ESA Leadership Summit slated for Jan. 31 – Feb. 3 in Chandler, Ariz. Many leaders from ESA’s Chartered Chapters attend the Leadership Summit and this content has been designed specifically for the executive directors and volunteer leaders that are charged with efficiently running their chapters.

Harris is slated to give the keynote presentation on Monday, February 1 at 12:45 p.m. which follows the association meetings that will take place in the morning. This presentation is sponsored by Security America RRG. Harris will talk about the role of associations in the modern business world, and how associations can learn from the best to excel in their given industries.

Harris' seminar, scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, and sponsored by Axis Communications, Telguard and Tri-Ed by Anixter, will focus on the details surrounding the roles and responsibilities for a board of directors. Harris will explain the difference between good governance and management, and how board officers can focus their energy, time and talent in the most beneficial ways possible.

Harris began his career working with the Presidential Classroom in Washington, D.C. He is on the faculty for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and has worked in Jordan, Japan, Ukraine and Belarus to help chambers and associations. He was named Association Trends Magazine’s “Association Partner of the Year” in 2012, and has written books on management and associations.
