NTS Provides First-of-its-Kind Course
Troubleshooting, Service and Maintenance from National Training School
opens new income stream for electronic security integrators

Irving, Texas, May 7, 2010 - Continuing its tradition of innovation, the Electronic Security Association’s National Training School has introduced a first-of-its-kind course: Troubleshooting, Service and Maintenance (TSM).

TSM, the first and only course of its kind, teaches students how to troubleshoot and repair electronic security systems, including intrusion, fire, video, and access control.

While many courses focus on new technologies or installation fundamentals, TSM covers the service and maintenance of existing systems, teaching students the troubleshooting mindset, as well as specific troubleshooting procedures for today’s systems.

"TSM is a completely unique course, where you’re guaranteed to learn something new, no matter how long you’ve been in the industry,” says LJ Lynes, co-chair of the ESA Education and Training Committee. "TSM offers dealers and integrators an additional stream of revenue through the maintenance and servicing of their customers’ systems, with the potential for significant profits through these services.”

The course, which is designed to make a company’s key profit engine more productive, teaches integrators how to establish an ongoing relationship with their clients through system maintenance and troubleshooting agreements.

Classroom courses are happening across the country, while the online version of TSM is set to launch this month.
