ESA Prepares for Move to New Offices on Nov. 1

Monday, October 10, 2011   (0 Comments)

The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is constantly changing to meet the needs of its members, and the next phase of that evolution takes place at the end of October when ESA officially relocates to its new headquarters. On the surface, it’s not a radical change. In fact, the new office will be just a short drive up the road from the current location in Irving, Texas. Beginning Nov. 1, the new address will be: Electronic Security Association, 6333 N. State Highway 161, Suite 350, Irving, TX 75038. The new location is still perfectly situated near the center of what is now the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States, with 6.37 million residents according to preliminary figures from the 2010 Census. ESA’s new headquarters is an airy, open space of approximately 8,000 square feet in a modern office building adjacent to DFW International Airport.

ESA Prepares for Move to New Offices on Nov. 1
Relocation Includes Training Facility, Member Service Center

Irving, Texas, Oct. 10, 2011 — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is constantly changing to meet the needs of its members, and the next phase of that evolution takes place at the end of October when ESA officially relocates to its new headquarters.

On the surface, it’s not a radical change. In fact, the new office will be just a short drive up the road from the current location in Irving, Texas. Beginning Nov. 1, the new address will be:

Electronic Security Association
6333 N. State Highway 161
Suite 350
Irving, TX 75038

The new location is still perfectly situated near the center of what is now the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States, with 6.37 million residents according to preliminary figures from the 2010 Census. ESA’s new headquarters is an airy, open space of approximately 8,000 square feet in a modern office building adjacent to DFW International Airport.

However, as is true with many kinds of changes, there’s more to it than what first meets the eye.

For instance, the new facility will create a centralized location for ESA’s National Training School (NTS), which is the leading provider of training and certification for the electronic security and life safety industry. Courses will continue to be conducted at various locations around the country, as well as online. But the new location offers an opportunity for attendees to come from across the country, in a comfortable classroom setting for as many as 30 students.

"As we evaluated the needs of our members and the future of NTS, we realized that there would be tremendous room for growth by bringing our training in-house,” said ESA Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau. "The new facility gives us the location, the space and the functionality we need to make training a positive experience for students coming from almost anywhere.”

The new location also introduces the concept of a centralized ESA member service center. The expanded space provides ESA staff members with a comfortable, open environment that allows them to communicate easily, and exchange information quickly and efficiently while providing top-notch support to members.

More information will be available as the move approaches, including new phone numbers for ESA staff. Overall, Guilbeau said, it’s an exciting time to be a part of ESA, either as a staff member or an industry professional.

"We’ve been on a fast track for the past two years, introducing a new name, a new logo and branding, and two new websites,” Guilbeau said, referring to www.ESAweb.org and www.alarm.org. "The new location is the natural continuation of that growth.”
