Chester Donati Biography
Chet has 50 years of experience in the industry and has been active in Illinois’ Chartered Chapter for nearly 30 years. He has served on the IESA board for 20+ years, including the last eight as president, earning ESA President of the Year in 2012. He has been on the ESA Board of Directors since 2005 and was ESA Election chair from 2012-14.
As founder and president of DMC Security since 1970, he operates a UL Listed and CSAA 5 Diamond central station, Chet is also very active with the CSAA, having served on the Board since 2008. Chet’s family-owned company provides the full gamut of alarm services to all types of customers in the Chicagoland area but DMC Security specializes in commercial fire alarm and UL burglar alarm systems.
Chet’s Law Enforcement background helps him secure some of the most high-risk facilities in the Chicagoland area. Because of his stellar reputation as a security expert, he has served on the Village of Homer Glen’s public safety committee since 2002 when it was formed.
A tireless volunteer and passionate man, Chet hopes to guide the ESA as it transitions to a new form of governance over its Chartered Chapters so that dues-paying members maintain a strong voice in the operation of our association.
