Roy Pollack Biography
I have been involved in the security profession for over 40 years. I have owned two successful companies and sold both to established companies and then going to work for the last company I sold my company to. I hold 35 unique state licenses, be they alarm contractor, electrical or specialty licenses so I am familiar with many requirements of state licensing and training needs.
Since 1977 I have been involved in one way or another with alarm associations, first being the Metropolitan Burglar Alarm Association on Long Island, and then the Alarm Association of Florida since 1987. Most recently I was one of those instrumental for establishing the ESA of Florida chapter.
In 1996 I was recognized by then NBFAA (the predecessor to ESA) as the State Training Coordinator of the Year, and then in 2000 as the State President of the Year.
One of the duties of my employment is to be involved with the associations and play an active role, which I believe I have done for many years. I have been to more than 10 state association annual meetings as well as trainings in various states. I travel across the country in support of the ESA and chapters of ESA, attending several association committee meetings, Leadership Conference, ESX, Day On Capitol Hill, and more.
I have been elected by you, the members of the ESA, to two terms as Vice President and I am seeking your support for re-election as Vice President.
