Apprenticeship Program Work Processes

The Protective Signal Installer (Security and Alarm Systems Installer) work processes for the ESA National Apprenticeship Program are listed below. These work processes will be performed under the supervision of a participating employer assigned journey worker.

              • Prepare for System Installation

              • Wire Buildings

              • Trim

              • Install Components

              • Configure-Program

              • Test, Troubleshooting, Debug

              • Train Users

              • Documentation

              • Maintenance & Repair


In conjunction with the series of publications, materials, classroom and / or electronic media instruction the ESA National Apprenticeship Program results in a well rounded, well trained, highly skilled worker.
