Federal Legislation

One of ESA's most valuable member benefits is a high profile, pro-active government relations program. Led by ESA Director of Government Relations John Chwat, as well as an active and vital Government Relations committee, ESA represents the interests of its membership before the U.S Congress, national coalitions, and U.S. government agencies. We also reach out to Chartered Chapters regarding legislation and regulations during a time of increased competition that presents new challenges to our members.

Day on Capitol Hill: April 28-29, 2014

One of ESA's major annual events is the Day on Capitol Hill, which allows members to meet directly with elected officials and their staff members in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. It's an excellent hands-on opportunity to learn more about ESA's Government Relations initiatives, and to have a tangible impact on their implementation.

Government Insider e-newsletter & State Legislative Report

Each month, ESA members receive the latest Government Relations news and information through the Government Insider e-newsletter. The information includes all levels, including federal and state governments, and brings you up to speed on the latest happenings. Click here to see the most recent Government Insider articles.

ESA also closely monitors all 50 states for legislation that directly affects you, your business and your industry, and compiles the result in the monthly State Legislative Report. Find out what's going on in your state and the rest of the country.
